In rehearsal: Killer Joe - starring Orlando Bloom

Killer Joe is a terrific play; nasty, lyrical and mythic - and it's cast to the hilt in this new production, directed by Simon Evans. Produced by Emily Dobbs and Empire Street Productions, it stars Orlando Bloom, Sophiue Cookson, Adam Gillen, Neve Macintosh and Steffan Rhodri. I took these rehearsal shots last week and will be shooting production in a bit. The show opens at the Trafalgar Theatre on 18 May.

First look: The Homecoming

Pinter's classic kicks off the new Jamie Lloyd season at the Trafalgar, and I was lucky enough to take production shots a few weeks back. The show opened to strong reviews earlier this week. It has an incredible cast, but I must say that the superb Ron Cook surpasses himself in this one.

The play also features Keith Allen - and so begins my series of 'Fellow Fulham Fans What I Have Photographed' - I'm not convinced that it's going to be a massively long series.

What a play this is. There's something about Pinter that has always resonated so deeply with me. The rhythms. The relationships. The ratcheting tension. Highly recommended.

On set report: Press event

One of the many nice touches on Jamie Lloyd's Trafalgar Transformed season is the cast changeover event. The outgoing cast of Richard III share a stage with the incoming cast of East is East to face the press. Alongside Jamie Lloyd, they discuss the season philosophy, the production challenges and the experience of working at one of the West End's hottest venues.

I popped along to shoot the last of Martin Freeman and the first of Jane Horrocks. The East is East production shoot is up in a couple of weeks.
