Here's a selection of photos from Abbey Wright's production of The Cocktail Party at the Coronet. Great venue, great production, great play. Oh, and Marcia Warren gives the performance of the year. Click for full ratio.
In September I'll be shooting both rehearsals and production for a new production of T.S. Eliot's The Cocktail Party, at the Coronet Theatre in Notting Hill. It'll be directed by the lovely and talented Abbey Wright who I've had the pleasure of working with a couple of times before.
I remember seeing John Dexter's great production of this play at the Phoenix Theatre way back. I even remember the great black and white production images by Angus McBean. The Cocktail Party boasts my favourite opening exchange to any play, ever.
ALEX: You've missed the point completely, Julia:
There were no tigers. That was the point.
JULIA: Then what were you doing, up in a tree:
You and the Maharaja?
Really looking to seeing how the cast stacks up for this production and can't wait to get cracking.
