No getting away from it, my 5D MK III and 5D MK II have never let me down. However, they are not the lightest of travelling companions. Sometimes you want to just 'whip something out' to capture the moment. Another problem is that for informal shooting the 5D does tend to draw attention to itself. It's not the most discrete of cameras. So, I've been on the hunt for a portable, reliable and high-quality mirrorless camera. My budget's limited and so Hasselblads and Leicas are out of the question for now. The Fujifilm X-E2 was recommended to me by the assistant cameraman on Genius - and who am I to argue? So far I have been delighted with the camera quality. I'll post up some samples soon.
I've decided to use this camera for a new personal project I'm about to embark upon. Can't wait to get started on it. But for now... introducing the new handy slab of black. (Disclaimer: photo taken with iPhone camera)
